Numero Uno

I am a blogger virgin. Never thought I would really be into it, but I have to admit creating the homepage was almost as exciting as opening a present. Since I have little blogging experience under my belt, I thought I would try out one of the blogging ideas proposed in class...with a little twist. Instead of the headline challenge or favorite passage I have combined the two to make - ta da! - favorite headline! I found this headline slightly bizarre but also quite clever, plus it made me laugh a little inside thinking about how awkward the story was going to be. The headline, from CBSnews.com (http://cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/02/world/main4406463.shtml), read: Dubai Beach Sex Pair Seek Quickie Trial. In today's world of gossip and scandal, the "beach sex pair" most likely will catch many a person's eye, along with the witty use of "quickie" to describe the trial, instead of the lewd act. It also caught my eye because of the odd nature of the supposed crime, which made me, in fact, read the entire article. Let's hope the fun-loving British couple does not get convicted.
